Exhausted Traveller

I just arrived in Patong, Phuket, an island on the West coast of Thailand. It has been quite an adventure. We flew to Tokyo, for a 4 hour layover, and then to Bangkok, where we spent the night. This morning we were up super early to catch the flight to Phuket. All flights were on time and we have our baggage. Finding our hotel was a little more tricky. There are so many places packed into a small area with signs overlapping signs that our cab driver didn't know where it was located. We could have walked along the beach with our baggage searching for the place, but the 90 degree weather and MY heavy bag wouldn't have been a good combination. Also, our cab driver couldn't read english, so the address didn't help. Otherwise, this place is amazing!!! I can't wait to check out all it has to offer. Tomorrow we head to Koh Phi Phi, two smaller islands just off the West coast of Phuket, to celebrate New Years! I will try to keep you updated as much as possible and download some photos.
